I was born in Atlanta, GA, but raised in Nigeria: my cultural heritage has a significant impact on my work. I create based off current emotions that spark a memory from my childhood, or trigger a past experience; due to this, my work tend to always have a message, whether hidden or bland. I had always been fascinated with drawing, until I picked up a paint brush: there is just something more satisfying about applying a brush stroke to canvas than a line to paper. My goal is not just to introduce the viewer to a different cultural perspective but hopefully to encourage the viewers\' deeper analysis of Art in general.
