Visual Art – Chicago

Founded by Jeanette Albert & Lorena Pazmiño.   Even though only 3 short years have passed since these two South American artists first connected a continent away in the city of Chicago, their shared cultural experience and passion for art and beauty have forged a bond that seemingly transcends a lifetime. An undeniable collaborative flare and perpetual mutual hustle lead them to found Vida En Arte, a multi-platform artisan partnership.    Jeanette, born in Asunción, Paraguay, is a fluid acrylic and up-cycling artist. Inspired by her surrealist painter father, she spent the first half of her life immersed in Asuncion’s uniquely eccentric creative community. At the age of 15, Jeanette moved to Miami where she quickly found herself in some of the city’s most opulent and decadent settings, a truly delectable form of culture shock she fully embraced. Encouraged by a professor to realize her raw talent, Jeanette was invited to study at The Art Institute of Chicago, located in yet another foreign city that she knew immediately would be her newest home. She works in a wide range of mediums and has an innate ability to see and enhance the beauty in almost anything. Lorena, originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, is skilled in oil medium, having painted more than 15 exact copies of Edward Kingman worked in oil on canvas for private galleries in Ecuador. She is also a handy-woman who can literally fix almost anything, an indispensable skillset she deploys in the many eclectic projects the two artistas engage in. Her father, an architect and master in freehand drawing, was a major influence on Lorena growing up. Looking to broaden her horizons, she found herself attracted to Chicago’s multicultural artistic scene and decided to make it her new hometown.
