Young Say-Day

Fashion – Denver

The First Photo is a picture of some of up cycled Jewelry. This photo shows my “Rolling Stones” beer bottle cap necklaces. Each is 100% one of a kind. The images are mini collages from the moths’ rolling stone issue, and filled with resin that domes and slightly magnifies the image, and they hang on a silver chain. The Next three Images are my Swagger-Bots. Each pendent is a hand sculpted and painted robot that has been cast in resin. These are my favorite to make because they combine my love of sculpting, painting and accessory making. When someone buys a Swagga-Bot necklace they also receive an 11x17 poster and a comic book. The video below is a short animation telling their story like the comic book does. Some of my other Simple Statement Pieces hang with the bots. The next image is one of my functional pieces. I love finding things that are functional and can be worn as an accessory. The stones on the chain are amazonite and jasper. The last picture is of some of the hats I hand crochet. They are functional as well; the rosettes can be removed and worn as a hair clip alone, or just removed to where the beanie alone. From Vintage to Urban to Recycled; My Inspiration and Style stem from almost everything and everyone I come in contact with. I am currently studying art and psychology at Metro State University in Denver and I absolutely love it! I am a strong believer that everyone has an artist inside of them, it’s just a matter of finding a creative outlet.
