Sahel Manochehry, known as SMC in the artist community, is an Abstract Contemporary Artist, currently specializing in acrylic mixed media. While her educational background is in Marketing Management, her passion has always been focused on visual arts. As an artistic professional, Sahel is always looking for the next opportunity to translate her personal experiences onto a canvas in a meaningful way. She has years of artistic experience in a range of media – including acrylic, watercolour, and graphic design; however, she has her own particular preferences that she continuously returns to.
SMC finds most of her inspiration through music, nature, and her own vivid dreams. Her creative process involves using colours, movement, textures and dimensions in unison to tell the stories of her conscious and subconscious mind. Each piece is a compilation of multiple paintings layered on top of one other, each refined and reworked through individual sparks of inspiration, drawn together to create a balanced and compelling composition.
