Visual Art – Toronto
I am a multidisciplinary artist working towards my BFA at OCAD University. Primarily, I am a portrait artist who works in acrylic painting and oil pastel drawing - these materials often exist together in my work along with recycled or found elements.
In my artistic practice I enjoy exploring how bodies and expressions interact with colours and light. My work includes diverse visual representations of bodies that have been misrepresented or excluded from historical discourse. This exclusion overlooks the existence of marginalized communities as separate entities from the people who oppress them. Through Majestic, wild, and sometimes silly imagery, my artwork exposes undiscovered beauty and hidden truth through new perspectives.
