Clarisse Genchez

Clarisse Genchez is a Filipino painter based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Working primarily with oil, charcoal, and acrylic paints, she creates expressive works that explore depth and emotion. Encouraged by her high school art teacher, Clarisse first entered provincial art competitions in 2018, securing third place at the Environmental Artworks Foundation of Alberta. She continued to build her artistic presence in 2019, participating in Art at the Centre and The Works Art and Design Festival. After high school, Clarisse pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Alberta for two years, where she honed her skills and began selling her artwork internationally. However, unforeseen circumstances led her to pause her artistic journey. Now, with renewed determination, she is eager to re-enter the art world and continue her path toward becoming a globally recognized artist.
