Introducing Dottie, a talented singer-songwriter and producer hailing from the musical city of Memphis, Tennessee. Inspired by the rich musical heritage of her hometown, Dottie has crafted a unique sound that seamlessly blends soulful melodies with heartfelt lyrics. Twelve years ago, she made the bold move to California, where she found herself immersed in the incredible world of background work. Touring the globe alongside renowned artists such as Ciara, J Lo, Ella Mai, Kendrick Lamar, Chrisette Michelle, Monica, Tinashe and many others, Dottie's talent shone brightly on the biggest stages. She’s taken her talent to the silver screen with credits in “Queen Rising” , a box office hit in theaters nationwide early 2024 and the Lifetime thriller “You May Now Kill The Bride” found on streaming networks. Summer 2024, she released her debut album entitled “Crying In Public”. Written and mainly produced by Dottie this heartfelt album is a collection of songs about the stages of grief endured after the loss of her beloved mother. With songs like “Cheers” that dives into the struggles of alcohol during grief or “That’s Crazy” that speaks on the unwarranted pleasantries of condolences,this album is for all who’ve endured loss. Back in her hometown, Dottie finds solace in connecting with her fellow musicians, sharing her experiences in the music industry, and inspiring aspiring artists with her story. As she lays her roots back home, she eagerly looks forward to forging new relationships and creating music that resonates with the hearts of her listeners.
