I am a multimedia artist often using photography, film, illustration, and design. My work focuses on documenting the underground hip-hop culture. My images and video exploit color styles that reference 80’s and relevant fashion. In my portraits I attempt to capture the identity of the subject through staging or posing and often incorporating humor. Some of my work documents live performances and I prioritize action and expression in my images. My illustrations explore the same content and I often use text in my images, which references the urban culture. I have a passion for music since I am a musician myself and I am a subject to the effects of music and how it can be used as positive tool to bring a community together as well as the unique relationship music shares with art.
