Sophie Rivers

Sophie is a painter, actor, educator and multidiciplinary creator based between Toronto and Yellowknife. She works in acrylic medium, oil, gouache and sometimes movement of the human body. She is a performance artist with a Masters in acting, and is a self taught painter. She has been seen in independent film and theatre in Toronto and London, UK. Sophie has exhibited paintings at The Gallery on 47th Street in Yellowknife NT in 2024, and continues to work with them as an artist. She strives to illuminate connection to the land and to self through her art. She is inspired by landscapes and colours that sooth the soul and the naturalist at heart. What is art at the end of the day if not a connector of humanity?
