Born and raised in Pasadena, California, the Mistress of Rap, also known as MOR, is a 24-year-old multi-hyphenate on her way to changing the music industry forever. MOR is bold, and unapologetic in her music. She is lyrically phenomenal and raw, mixing west coast bounce, jazz influence with an energetic sonic, to create a sound that is refreshingly nostalgic. The Mistress of Rap is the new generation of hip-hop, a music icon, and a mogul ready to prove her destiny right. An artist-recording engineer, live music curator and producer, she began her professional journey in late 2017 after attending New York University’s Summer Institute of Music Technology and has been non-stop ever since. MOR earned her B.A. in Communications and Audio Production from the Illustrious Howard University in Washington, D.C. While attending Howard, she performed at over 75 showcases and gained early merits as an artist, opening for greats, such as Ab-Soul, MAVI, and AnkleJohn.
