Ali

Ali is a self taught artist from Montreal, now living in the secluded, northern town of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Having spent the last 5 years working in the industrial world of the Canadian Oil Sands, Ali grew to appreciate the massive steal structures that surrounded her for what they were instead of what the world outside perceived them to be. The imposing architecture not only represented decades of innovation and ingenuity but the sacrifices countless men and women made, chasing a better life for themselves and their families. Ali’s art is an attempt to shine light on this important snapshot in the history of humanity, without judgement, only respect, for those that came before her.
