With more than 25 years in the music industry, Entertainment Consultant, Rodney Gee is known for having a keen ear and eye for raw talent. Rodney Gee began his career hosting talent showcases in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. During one of his showcases, he discovered a young, talented, rapper who would later become the legendary rapper D.O.C., whose musical gift would help shape the sound of West Coast rap in the 90s.
Shortly after building a reputation for himself as an artist manager, Rodney began to manage DJ
Quick and was later credited with discovering hip hop legend, Warren G. Within the first year of his career Rodney became the Production Manager for the “EZ Duz It” concert tour and within five years, his professional reputation and industry expertise catapulted his career to record label Manager, granting him the opportunity to work with the best and brightest the industry had to offer as well as up and coming new talent. From setting up concerts and negotiating the salaries for his clients, Rodney thought beyond the concert stage. He knew that the secret to success and longevity was to create a viable network. It was that thought process that birthed the MC Breed x Tupac classic, “Gotta Get Mine,”now regarded as one of the greatest hip hop collaborations ever done. Soon after adding the legendary hip hop group, OutKast to his roster of clients, Rodney negotiated their first sitcom appearance on the Fox Network’s, hit comedy, “Martin.”
Working with labels and artists such as TNT Records (Tupac), Giant (D.O.C.), LaFace (OutKast), Arista (Blu Cantrell), No Limit (Master P), Ichiban Records (MC Breed) and Aftermath (6’2), Rodney built solid relationships, honed his craft and eventually decided to branch out on his own and form Gigantic Entertainment Group. Gigantic Entertainment Group is a Music Management and Consulting firm that has gradually made a name for itself in the entertainment industry by representing comedians such as Special K (Ricky Smiley Morning Show), Nephew Tommy (Steve Harvey Morning Show) and Veda Loca (97.9 The Beat/DFW) and hip hop legend, the D.O.C. In addition to artist management, Gigantic Entertainment has a solid reputation for developing up and coming new talent as well as producing and promoting large entertainment events, such as the St. Thomas Jazz Festival and amateur boxing tournaments. Currently, Mr. Gee resides in Dallas, TX.
