Visual Art – New Orleans

As a kid in Jackson, Mississippi, art was always a part of my life in one way or another; whether it was dancing, music, color guard, or drawing with markers at my grandmother's, each served as an escape for me. After moving to Hattiesburg and doing some soul- searching, I bit the bullet and was an art major. In May of 2018, I received my Bachelor of Arts with focus areas in painting and printmaking. To feed my interest in other areas, I tacked on two minors as well, Art History and French. My studies helped me develop a love for the history of art, composition, color and the endless possibilities within printmaking. I experimented with the combination of relief and intaglio methods and non-traditional color layering in a print. I also dabble a bit in painting and drawing as well as each discipline ties into the other and allows for exploration in all kinds of directions.
