Ahi's Art

Ahiniya Murugiah is a Sri Lankan-born artist currently living in Toronto. She uses bold and bright colors in her paintings to reflect human emotions in an energetic and lively way. Her paintings vary from Woman centric paintings to abstracts to landscape paintings. Ahiniya’s paintings are a mere extension of her own emotions and portrayal of the different shades of the world as seen by a multitude of people. The surrealistic and feminine approach is the foundation of her paintings. Her Abstract paintings bring boundless energy to the viewer's eye and it’s her way of celebrating life. Landscape paintings are mostly of coastal environments which directly reflect her homeland Sri Lanka, known for tranquil beaches and golden sand.
