Beauty – Sydney

I discovered makeup fresh out of high school, free from the rules and monotony. I enrolled in makeup school and gradually my mind was expanded beyond it\'s capacity. I had entered a world full of people who thought just like I did, aesthetically driven and creating moving and breathing works of art in many different forms without limitation. The possibilities were endless, and I continued to expand on my abilities on several short film projects, backstage at a Camilla show and a Sydney Uni production at the Seymour. After graduating, I dove right in and began freelancing immediately. I\'ve since been moving in between the fashion and film industries, making some valuable contacts in both. I\'ve had the pleasure of working with the new generation of filmmakers at AFTRS and UTS on many short projects, and have worked extensively with emerging photographers. I have worked on music videos and independent films, most recently one featuring Brendan Cowell, and was selected to design and oversee the application of the makeup for the finale float at the 2013 Mardi Gras parade earlier this year. I now hope to continue exploring the innumerable possibilities this industry holds, keep innovating, grow as an artist, and help others do the same.
