Alexandra Mowat

My name is Alex and I'm a visual artist who has been consistently experimenting with different mediums for about ten years. I initially had a passion for photography, completing my undergraduate degree in Photography & Situated Media at UTS, specialising in portraiture. However since completing my Masters in Art Therapy at Western Sydney University my practice started to experiment with sensory art-making and creating tactile objects that invoked personal therapeutic exploration. Venturing into ceramics has opened up a new avenue for me to bring a bodily connection to my work and mould my artistic and therapeutic identities.
