The first thing you see when you meet someone is their face. I have always loved and been drawn to figurative art and facial structure fascinates me. I grew up watching my mom host Mary Kay parties and was immediately intrigued at an early age. I generally have always been more inclined to enjoy the"girly" things in life and loved pink, glitter, and every other cliché feminine activity. When I was in high-school, I made the decision to pursue art in college with a concentration in figurative sculpture. I would say this was when I really started to delve into makeup deeper. Since I was studying the composition of 3 dimensional forms and how to paint them, what better form to practice with than my own face? I suppose that was it for me. I love making myself and other people feel beautiful, weird, and/or inspired with a little eyeliner and patience.
