I am very passionate about our environment and our planet. My artwork focuses on the ecological effects of mass oil production.My ideas are inspired by existing photos of oil spills that have occurred within the last year. These images are used to reveal the destruction caused by humanity which enhances the deep underlying issues found in my work such as pollution and oil spills. The paint moves through the canvas as oil would move through water, creating the same effect. Through research and the production of my work, new interests arise questioning the sustainability of human “advancement”.
