I was 19. I packed up and went on hiatus- The uncomfortable plane ride landed me in Tampa with nothing but my backpack, my cd walkman, & little thirst for life - the world as I knew it seemed dry as a desert and I didn\'t know why. With no money, no car, no friends and even less knowledge of the area I picked up a small digital camera and began photographing my surroundings- the wise old woman I met at a bus stop (she was handing out life stories like candy, I had to listen), those beautiful ocean side sunsets. I immediately knew I had found my therapy, my creative outlet in the form of a cheap little kodak. Des Moines was calling me home. Shortly after my arrival I met this groovy designer guy who happened to own a camera with a fancy dial on it..I became addicted. My work reflects what goes on inside of my head down to the colors I choose, my editing style and ideas which are forever changing. You can learn a lot about me as a person just by interpreting my artwork. Producing images is my way of making connections with others on a different level. That\'s my story & Im stickin\' to it!
