Ambe’r Johnson is a Philadelphia native that relocated to Chicago to pursue a B.A in dance from Columbia College Chicago. She currently identifies as a West African dancer along with the aspiring elements of House, Afro Beat, Dance Hall and Modern. At the moment, Ambe’r is a Principal Dancer with Ayodele Drum & Dance under the artistic direction of T. Ayo Alston and Imania Detry. Previously Johnson performed in the works of Onye Ozuzu, Pamela McNeil, Dr. Rennie Harris, Jessica Miller Tomlinson, Keyierra Collins, and Aaliyah Christina. Ambe’r wishes to continue developing her career as a West African artist and the aforementioned techniques.
