Amanda Ciccione

I am a 30 year old, self-taught artist. I live in Brooklyn, New York, with my Sicilian foodie husband, Paolo and my ridiculously large collection of books and art supplies. I am originally from Long Island, New York. I have a bachelor\'s degree in Art History from NYU. I work mostly in acrylics, colored pencils, and chalk pastels. My work varies widely in subject matter and style. I just began painting in September of 2014 and have been drawing since highschool. I was a tattoo artist for a few years and a cosmetologist for a few as well, so artistic creativity has always been the dominant focus of my life and occupation. My ultimate goal is for other people to see my work and develop a personal emotional connection with it. Really, nothing makes me happier than when others see my work and in turn are inspired to create work of their own in response. I just began selling my work and displaying it publicly online and in some businesses in Manhattan in February of this year. I tend to jump into life\'s many challenges head first. When I am passionate about something, good luck trying to stop me! I would like nothing more than to turn my passion for creating art into a career. I am enjoying this exciting time starting out in this artistic journey and soaking up knowledge from all those around me.
