Music – Ottawa

Join us for an evening of a program with many different genres! Ania Hejnar, accompanied by Judith Ginsburg, and joined by special guest Naomi Golanowski, will be performing Classical to Pop with a holiday flare. Ania holds a Master of Music Degree and Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Ottawa. Growing up surrounded by music, Ania Hejnar began musical studies with the violin Suzuki method, performing her first recital at the age of three. After completing her Masters in Vocal Performance at the University of Ottawa, Ania Hejnar began performing regularly. She made her debut at the Maison Symphonique de Montréal as soprano soloist in Orff’s Carmina Burana under the direction of Michel Brousseau in April, 2018 and returned to that stage in December, 2018 as the Soprano Soloist for Beethoven's 9th Symphony with Mundia Productions. Ms. Hejnar also recently performed for Her Excellency the Right Honourable, Mme. Julie Payette for the Order of Canada Investiture at Rideau Hall, Ottawa. Aside from teaching at the Glebe Montessori as the Music and Drama teacher, and having her own successful private studio, she is currently one of the anthem singers for the Ottawa Senators and TD Place events such as Fury and Redblack games, as well as performs the anthem for University of Ottawa Convocations and is busy performing in many concerts in Ontario and Quebec. You can hear her voice on Remigio Pereira’s (former member of The Tenor’s) new solo album, VOX INAUDITO. In May 2016, she received First Place in the Canadian Model and Talent Convention in Singing and Adult Female Commercial, and works occasionally on television as an actress and model. Being a mother of two young children, Ania continues to perform in Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto.
