Music – Nashville
I'm a singer/songwriter in Nashville, TN, living and learning and making music.
My music is earthy folk/pop and I write songs about life, love and friendship. My band consists of two guitars (acoustic and my hubby on the classical), my sister's beautiful vocal harmonies and violin, a mandolin, bass guitar, and a broken-down drum kit.
I have a passion for singing and writing and I'm a coffee fiend. I'm endorsed by McPherson Guitars and was awarded a songwriting scholarship from the rock band Queen. I could tell you more about that later if you'd like.
I produced and released an album here in TN in May 2010 with an incredible team of established TN musicians (Billy Smiley, Bill Whittington, Scott Dente, Ken Lewis, Andy Leftwich, and more) and am working on a second right now at McPherson Studios. I recently launched my first official music video, which can be found at www.youtube.com/annajohnsonmusic. I'm also a visual artist and studied painting and drawing for two years before pursuing music as a career.
Ultimately, music and art make my world go 'round.
