My name is Boma Tende. I am Nigerian-American, located in the DMV area. Currently, I attend the University of Maryland, College Park, studying Information Science and Studio Arts for undergraduate. My art is heavily inspired by the strong women in my life especially my mother. Many times the subjects will be of a woman, nature, or both. When creating art, black women tend to be the main subject because of my own childhood and experiences. I want to show the world the beauty in Black and being Black.
