WENDY MARSHALL Art By Wendy VISUAL ARTIST Wendy Marshall was born in raised in Baltimore, MD. She attended school at Milford Mill Academy and excelled in the arts. Passion for art began in high school where she received honors in art courses all four years .First art Sketch out of high school, ambitions for design & illustrations. With a desire and love for fashion, Wendy applied for F.I.T. Not to mention the Art Institute of Philadelphia was excepted for admission. However soon after reality hit and due to financial reasons Wendy’s family couldn’t maintain the school’s full time tuition. Relentless and self drive Wendy did not stop here community college, obtained a job and attempted to manage her dreams on the side. Creativity can never be contained, through continued self studies, sketching, sewing and painting. Wendy became a dedicated highly DIYer and perfected her craft. With the support family and the encouragement of her Stepfather , Wendy continued to flourish in her expression of her art. She began to share her pieces with the public. Wendy inspirations stem from visions of women like her. Her quote is” I make beautiful”. I never saw images of my self growing up. I wanted to recreate a vivid perception of what beauty is from a woman of color’s perspective. As well as capture the beauty around me.” The loss of her step father was the motivating catalysis to become a Visual Artist and embark on her destiny as an artist. In 2011, Wendy Marshall launched her first public presentation of work through Social media outlets. With great reviews “Art By Wendy” was received by the audience with warm receptions. After the release of the “Facebook LIVE” Wendy to full advantage to reach a major audience. She created “Art By Wendy Live” a visual art platform in 2015 , in Nashville, Tennessee. Since them Wendy has been a driving force in Women empowerment, advocating for the #BodyPositive Movement and establishing herself as a Artistic Entrepreneur. She currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona and is becoming a vibrant force in the Phoenix Art Scene. Art By Wendy , the brand is a invigorating energy that is providing imagery of positive women and girls of color. Standing for women empowerment and strength. With a goal of reinforcing the message that we are powerful and we don't know our strength. The directive is to provide a platform to provided support to low income artist. Provide a space.
