Arthur Kwon Lee is a Korean American painter best known for exhibiting large scale self-reflective paintings surrounding contemporary depictions of the human figure. His practice revolves around prevalent themes from archetypal psychology whilst utilizing a unique juxtaposition of analogous color combinations, gestural mark making, classic formalism and oblique references to historical motifs. The intention behind Lee's work is an invitation towards contemplating a sense of personality integration at an instinctual level. His paintings have been exhibited in Italy's Gallery of San Carpoforo, the Skyline Hotel, Gallery 31, the Target Gallery, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and many more.
