Visual Art – Atlanta
I was born and raised in Augusta GA. I love that I grew up in the south. The open country and the mountains fueled my adventure as a kid. I feel like a lot of my inspiration that I get for paintings comes from my younger years. I also love horses and had one when I was younger. I contribute that to the inspiration and love of painting them. I feel like my horses spirit, Werbortus Fame, unintentionally resides in so many of my horse paintings. She was my first and last horse. She was so beautiful and full of personality, a bonding between us so immediate. I loved her so very much. Moving to Atlanta over 5 years ago, I started slowly working on my painting, drawing and just developing my style. I love placing vividly bright contrasting colors next to each other and using a lot of movement in a painting. I also try to put a lot of effort into making a very captivating, "pulling in" composition with my subjects.
