Maggie Ingvalson
Visual Art – Nashville
My name is Maggie Ingvalson and I am currently an art student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I will be graduating in the summer with a Bachelor of Arts and a Minor in Biological Sciences. I was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The artistic community there definitely instilled a passion for the arts in me.
My work consists of a wide variety of styles and mediums. I enjoy doing dog portraits in charcoal and pencil. Capturing the pets personality and beauty is my favorite part of the process. I also enjoy making oil paintings. Right now I am particularly interested in negative space and organic shapes. I use the shapes as inspiration and the basis of the paintings.
As a young artist I don’t have a set niche of what kind of artwork I want to make but I am excited to broaden my range of styles and mediums in the future!
