Ashley Ann Capone | Key Makeup Artist | Beauty Marks NYC

Beauty – New York - Brooklyn

ASHLEY ANN CAPONE Makeup Artist & Film Producer I love curating beauty. On the outside and the inside. I believe deeply in taking the steps necessary for us to find the beauty, both individually and collectively as a society. Beauty to me, is an energy. We feel it when we see it, hold it, seek it, and investigate its powers. When we surrender to celebrating it’s imperfections, it can be harnessed and used as a tool to build self confidence, self expression, and even to shift our culture. In 2014 I founded Beauty Marks NYC as not only a service based business to curate beauty, but also as an activism company that challenges the social norms of our beauty culture. Everyone who is a part of the Beauty Marks community encourages women & girls to view feeling beautiful as a human right. I am lucky enough to have collaborated with some of the industry’s leading artists and designers. My editorial work has been published in American Salon Magazine, and my Key Makeup designs have also been seen on the runway for New York Fashion Week three years in a row. In addition to commercials, film, online content, and music videos. Beauty Marks NYC Teams have the reputation of being swiss army knives on set and change makers in the industry. Along with my Husband Mike Capone, we co-founded a film & commercial production company, Make Your Mark Studios. We are grateful that our first short film ‘Doorstep’ was well received and honored with 5 Film Festival Laurels, and has over 300,000 views on Omletto. MYMS is currently in post on a documentary about the hardships in Atlantic City, which mirror many of the issues many places in our country are facing right now. How the community is showing up and what they are deciding to do about it is nothing short of incredible. Above all, I have and always will be extremely proud to be New York native. I resides in Astoria with my husband, my baby girl Bridget Riley, an aggressively affection cat named MeowMeow, and recently 20,000 Backyard Bees.
