I am a wordsmith and artist, whose creations stem from deep Mexican and Black roots. After college, I was looking for a job and between applications, I began creating jewelry for myself. I was extremely tired of that cheap, badly made stuff that you find in stores. I wanted to create something beautiful that represented who I am and where my roots began. I found that there are so many other people who want the same, and from that, Azteca Negra was born.
As a product of a rich bicultural heritage, everything I\'ve created has been sprinkled with a little bit of the Aztec sun and the African moon and the ocean that lies between them. All of my pieces have been inspired by worldwide cultural and modern art.
