Performing Art – New Orleans

Darian is an 18 year old New Orleans native and considers herself extremely lucky to be surrounded by such artistic and inspiring people everyday. She began her dance studio training at 4 years old and continues to train in contemporary, hip hop, modern, ballet, jazz, & tap, both at her home studio and at workshops, summer intensives, and masterclasses throughout the country. She has also trained at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles and Broadway Dance Center in New York, both on scholarship. She began performing with SYNERGY Dance Productions, a New Orleans based contemporary-fusion dance company, at 13 years old, and was promoted to their professional company at 15. At 17, Darian was invited to audition for the Janet Jackson "Unbreakable" Tour stop at the Smoothie King Center and was one of the dancers chosen to perform with her during "Rhythm Nation". She has also enjoyed working on various TV shows including "Get Fit With Leslie" as part of the Junior Fitness League and most recently on the premiere of "NCIS New Orleans" as a dancer. Currently, Darian is traveling as a Pro Level Pulse Protégé with "The Pulse On Tour" and as a Company Assistant with "Streetz Dance Convention & Competition". She has also been staying busy as a guest artist, teacher, and choreographer at various studios throughout the region. She is excited to be part of the growing and eclectic dance community in her hometown.
