Celebrity Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist, M’chel is based out of Oregon with many years experience in the entertainment industry. Celebrity clientele include Barack & Michelle Obama, Dakota Fanning, Steve Buscemi, Heather Graham, Selma Blair, Katherine Schwarzenegger, Jason Sudeikis, Fred Armisen, Dr. Oz, Alicia Silverstone, Amy Roloff, Kathryn Bigelow and many others. Arenas she practices in range from film, television (including HD), video, print. M'chel is an artist who is very dedicated to her career, treating her clients with respect, works hard to be punctual and professional in everything she does and strives to perfect her craft daily.
M’chel recently was awarded the RAW Hair Stylist of the year for Oregon and has provided professional hair styling services for the well known shows Portlandia, and Grimm and both hair and makeup for Leverage and Portland Teen Idol. TNT, TLC, ABC, NBC, FOX, Universal, Disney, Comedy Central, MTV, Bravo, Discovery Channel and many others have sought her expertise.

Raised in Aurora, Oregon, at age 18, M'chel ventured down to L.A.'s American College of the Applied Arts, then transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Fashion Design in 1996. A couple of years later while working with the special effects makeup team for Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest, she developed a passion for makeup and hair design and went on to pursue it full time. M'chel taught herself all the basics about beauty, airbrushing, special effects and hair designing. She then utilized her fashion and glamour knowledge to market herself in the entertainment industry.??
M'chel moved back to Oregon in 2004 after 11 years in L.A. and currently enjoys appearing on makeup segments occasionally on the ABC affiliate out of Portland called AM Northwest where she helps educate viewers on current makeup and hair trends and has acted as a beauty editor for a regional magazine – Renew Beauty. She has been a beauty expert writer for an online magazine called BestOfYouToday.com and continuously working on mastering her skills in the industry, searching for hip and fresh ideas and use of color and fashion. She is highly qualified, respected, extremely reliable and approaches every project with consideration of her client’s reputation and with the single goal of perfection. Her current venture is to create her own make-up line called BAUXAL and is in pre-production of her own television show called GLAM NOW! that her husband Dennis Gleason (through his production company Dark Wing Productions) is working for her to highlight all the glamorous and beautiful elements of hair, makeup, and style!
??Due to M'chel being self taught in the hair & makeup industry, she decided in February 2011 to attend Phagans School of Hair Design to learn cutting, coloring & hair extensions. She now can take care of her clients' complete needs and is expected to graduate in March 2012.
