I am a 22-year-old Anishinaabe kwe, born and raised on Lekwungen and WSANEC territories. I am currently studying for the Indigenous Bachelor of Education at Trent University located in Nogojiwanong (Peterborough, ON), but am working here on the island during my summer vacation. I create beadwork, paint, and use digital art as methods to express my creativity while connecting with my Indigineity. I often combine multiple mediums and like to relate my work to teachings as I learn more about my own culture.
