Native New Yorker, painter, printmaker, photographer and videographer. My artwork is often beautifully grotesque, shocking, playful, edgy and humorous. I work in a broad range of mediums and formats and my subject matter varies or alternates between abstraction and figurative forms.
My artwork explores the connection between things that comfort you and things that scare you. Often the things we have the potential to enjoy are bittersweet, for example, our birthdays, our pets, our intimate relationships. My focus is on that uneasy feeling, the intersection of sentimentality and the unsettling.
