Visual Art – San Francisco

As an emerging artist, my work is the product of untapped creative energy that has collected during the restrictive schedule of my daily life. I try to deconstruct the image into patterns and colors, and use the revised effect as a departure point. This method helps me unlock the picture, and lets me work freely without the burden of replicating hard lines and shapes. I like to play with vivid colors and textures on the canvas, and this discretion creates a lot of unexpected surprises and developments. Abstraction allows me to express emotion, letting my arm swing around the painting with brushes and knives until forms emerge and take life. Education: Deerfield Academy, Vanderbilt University, San Francisco Art Institute
