Bryant Portwood is a contemporary artist living and working out of New York City. He received his BA in painting and art history from Centre College and his MFA in painting and anatomy from the New York Academy of Art. Bryant works primarily in two styles. The first is a low brow pop surrealist manner of painting with strong influences from pulp fiction cover illustrations of the 20th century and the second is an illustrative, macabre/dark humor style.
