Music – Riverside

I am a hip-hop artist out of the Inland Empire of California where I was born and raised. I was always a shy kid, so even when I began writing lyrics at 8 years old to the beats in video games, I would never share them with a soul. It wasn\'t until meeting future friend, producer and business partner G.Q. shortly after graduating high school that I gave making music any real consideration. In 2007 at 18 under the name Catalyst, I recorded my first works in the trio formally known as T.C.F.(The Chosen Few), which consisted of myself, G.Q. and his childhood friend Comic. No project was ever fully completed, but that work inspired me to continue recording. By the time I met now close collaborator, Compton rapper/producer Dre Shot, I was ready to complete my first mixtape, The Exception in January 2010. The warm reception followed with my first fully original project, Mane/Stream that same Summer. By the Fall of 2010, I grew tired of the boxes I was being placed in artistically, as well as my name. I changed my name to Cam Archer and in May 2011 released The Collateral Mixtape. In August of that same year I would release The Summer of Cam EP. Now four projects deep and finishing three more to be released by 2013, I focus on growing a buzz and displaying an energetic live show to as many fans as possible.
