Visual Art – Salt Lake City

Being planted and grown in Salt Lake City, I have always only known living within constant view of the Wasatch mountain range. The deepest contentment I've ever experienced has been in Utah's dramatic and awe-inspiring national parks. My work is inspired by the colors, textures, and patterns found in these landscapes of home. I have been creative and working with my hands as long as I can remember but only in the last handful of years have I considered myself a "maker." From weaving to macrame, watercolor, sewing, and up-cycling thrifted clothing, my work has evolved drastically from when I was using the kitchen counter as a macgyver-ed loom. This practice continues to evolve, ebbe and flow, and fuel my pursuit of creative happiness. After visiting 2019's RAW showcase in Salt Lake City, I am excited for the opportunity to participate in the 2020 showcase.
