I\'m a smalltown girl who moved to the big city having no idea what I would become. My passion for photography started with my 8th birthday when my Godmother gifted me my first camera. I took the worst pictures of the dumbest things---like posing my Barbies for \"family portraits\" but I\'ve never lost that sense of creativity. My checklist when I walk out the door: Keys, kids, phone, AND camera; never leave home without it. My thought is this: you never know what you may come across from day to day. Just like my kids, the world never ceases to amaze me. The beauty that I may come across on my drive to work or the crazy smile my baby decides to share with me. I want to capture it; to keep it; to gift it as a wonderful memory down the road. I am definitely classified as a \"self-taught\" amateur photographer. I started with abstract and moved to landscapes. I braved a part-time job in a photo studio a few years ago, which taught me more about the art of portrait photography. I continue to practice family and event photography on the side. My goal is to able to take my photography to the next level. I am determined... beyond words.
