Visual Art – Wollongong

I\'m an Australian artist lucky enough to be living in Corrimal, sandwiched between the mountains and the sea. As soon as I could hold a pencil I began drawing and painting and creating art. Over the past 4 years I have developed a passion for photo and digital media.I\'m never without my camera! I\'m always creating art works in my head and constantly looking for that beautiful bird, a perfect flower, magical cloud or burst of sunlight to complete the pictures I\'ve been been making in her mind. A single art work can often have information taken from over 12 different photographs .The creative process is incredibly exciting and absorbing. The real world melts away and another appears as I melds the images together. I then retouches the images digitally and by hand and then scan them back into the computer where I play with them. Although each image is a lot of work I really do think of the “work” as play. I finds it exciting that although my imagination created the art work other people will see the same piece very differently. I also love to paint using ink, gouache, water colour combined with pen and pencils and I\'m passionate about making cards using my own art work as well as collecting, recycling and re-imagining vintage and retro images.
