Catrin Sarah

I graduated from Columbia College of Chicago in May 2013 with a bachelor\'s degree in photography. My work emphasizes the overlap between traditional fashion portraiture and fine art photography. Exploiting color, shapes, lines, light and shadows is what shapes my images. As a fashion portraiture photographer, the foundation of my work is my composition and the manipulation of a variety of lighting, which creates moody and evocative light effects and images. My photos involve a collaboration of model, stylist, viewer and photographer. I am interested in creating images that make the viewer take notice not only of the clothing but the model as well. I want viewers to see a powerful image and find themselves wanting to know the person who effortlessly and confidently wears the clothing featured. I want to tell a story through my fashion photography that will make the audience want the clothing as well as the attitude, confidence and beauty the model projects
