Claire Fall Blanchette

Visual Art – Boston

My work reflects an interest in collection, archiving, textures, map-making, and natural forms. Through these interests I strive to create work that explores the way I move through spaces and places, whether presently or in memory. The basis of much of my work is through collection. A texture, object, photograph, or mark that spurs off a series of works which reflect the origins of those objects, and aim to preserve the memory of place and space that is inherent in their existence. Continuing to collect through both reflection on memory and present environments, I aim to ultimately express my constant interest in the spaces and places that I inhabit– past, present, and future.
