Visual Art – Austin
Hey, y'all! My name is Charli Rose, and I'm a queer asexual artist, born and raised in DFW but currently located in the Austin, TX area. I work in traditional mediums such as pen, marker, and colored pencil, and recently expanded to watercolor painting. My erotic art comes from a place of queer asexuality. I appreciate the beauty of bodies, like I appreciate the beauty of flowers and horns, blood and bones, muscle tone, veins, and tears.
I feel as though my art style changes with my mood. I've gone through periods drawn to certain colors and palettes, like shades of blue, grayscale with pops of red, soft pink, and black and white. When I'm working with markers and ink, I have preferences for simple palettes and pops of color. When using colored pencils, I lean towards realism. With watercolor, I trend towards softness. But regardless, each look is my own. I love the look of verticle drips in any medium. Crosshatch and scribble are where I emote the most in my pieces.
