It’s only natural that Chuck Starr was asked to open shows for Miguel, Dwele, and headline at B.B. King’s: his aggressively high energy pop anthems and quirky alternative R&B sensibilities made him just the guy to get everyone amped up and ready to party. Accompanied by rap guru and hypeman extraordinaire Doc Blues, Chuck was able to achieve some success in NYC as an indie artist and attract the attention of major labels. Unfortunately, before everything could pan out, Chuck lost some of his close family members. However, Chuck has never been the kind of guy who steps back from adversity: he pushed through his personal tragedy and put together a new band in Columbus on his own label. They would come to be known as Chuck Starr & The Problem.
As 2015 unfolds, Chuck and his new teammates continue to sacrifice having regular lives as they write new material, put together a record, and make televised appearances: all while they manage to stage shows that tend to get mistaken for the kind of parties you only see in movies. But that’s because if there’s one thing that everyone involved knows alltoowell: it’s that life only happens in the moment, and there’s nothing they want more than to get everyone in the room forget about their lives and just live. For Chuck Starr & The Problem, it’s always a victory when they make people sing, dance, and fall in love.
