The work of Cirrus Atelier, the brainchild of Natalie C. TAN often draws inspiration from the turmoils and experiences through her life, often featuring a sole subject or a location with memories held dear.
From the towers and quaint shops of Melbourne; her current home, to the forests of Hangzhou; where she spent a summer exchange, to the cat cafes of Singapore; where she was born and raised, her raw ideas manifest themselves as a phantom chasing will o wisps to uncertainty; as a portrait finding her way; as the midnight train going nowhere.
Her paintings, she often says, is a landmark and key to her deepest, most abstract whims and feelings at any one point of time - she expresses hope, irony, delusion, courage, and much more in her trademark A6 canvases. Natalie is based in Melbourne.
