Visual Art – Baltimore
Welcome and thank you for visiting! My name is Kenneth T Graves, and I founded Creative Markz. Creative Markz was officially established in Baltimore, Maryland. My passion for art started at a very young age. For as long as I can remember, I've always had a passion for creating things with my hands, giving people a visual gratification. My mother was my first art teacher. I remember her teaching me how to draw and shade with graphite, when I was in kindergarten. My mother gave me the foundation that I needed to create the visual art that I present today. I would draw pictures and give them away for free, but just ask for their opinion or critique on my work as payment. Most of my life, I've only used graphite to make my art. It wasn't until April 2016, that I decided to start incorporating painting into my set of skills. Since then, I've entered multiple art shows and contest that produced great results for me.
As a self taught artist, I've learned from watching others paint/draw. Being able to see how other artist create the works that they do, has always helped me gain a better understanding of what I may lack in my pieces. I've learned a great deal from, who I call my mentors, Marie Parham, Kofi and Nikkey Creative. As I create art, I listen to different types of music. I'm a strong believer in the fact that, music provokes a feeling that can be transferred into the work that you do. The main purpose for my art, is to bring out the artistic side in people and to provoke an unexpected emotion. To give the viewer the, "this is amazing" or "I HAVE to have this" feeling.
