Visual Art – Phoenix

I create joyful, colorful and whimsical art. I draw nature because I feel loved and nurtured when immersed in the natural world. I play with abstraction because I am attracted to texture and movement. Artful expression fills me with peace, delight and freedom. I create the things make my heart sing and remind me of life\'s simple pleasures such as playing under a willow, catching fireflies or taking a stroll in the forest. My art is joyful and my hope is that the viewer feels that joy. When my work is going well it feels effortless, a direct flow of energy from my heart and soul to my body and outward. I move into the work, connect to my creative source and become peaceful. What I love most about what I do is the peaceful feeling I get in the moment of creation. When I feel connected; I feel alive and whole. I was born and raised on Long Island in NY and currently live in Mesa, Arizona with my husband and our two sons. I graduated with a B.A. in Visual Communication and have been working as a graphic designer since 2000. I am a trained Art Guide for the Mesa Public Schools Art Masterpiece Program and have been a volunteer since 2009. I am passionate about art and design and work in a variety of media.
