CREE Creshawn Garrett
Visual Art – New Orleans
Creshawn Garrett was born and raised in Bastrop, Louisiana. While in Kindergarten, Creshawn placed in her first competitive art show and had her artwork shown at the Town Fair. Creshawn was destined to persue art. Therefore, she went on to graduate from Southern University with a BA Degree. While at Southern, She particpated in the painting of a mural on SU campus, and designed the CAS logo. Creshawn was also the Vice President and eventually President of their Creative Arts Society. Creshawn\'s work has been shown at the Southern University Museum of Art, Souther University Heritage Gallery, Louisiana Arts and Science Museum, and several Baton Rouge Arts events.
Creshawn now works as a visual and restorative artist for Lamps and Lighting in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Where a days work can be custom painting and creating a new lighting fixture, or restoring an antique piece.
