Among the growing urban sprawl I was raised in, I was lucky enough to live next to a public park. Better yet, I could take a back way and enter the park through the forests that were rarely traversed. I had access to a more natural swath of land, this cultivated in me a love and appreciation for nature. I soon spent much of my time camping and exploring nature. As I followed my passion of creating and playing music as well as art, I also walked the path of spirituality and connecting to things unseen, but felt. One day I found a breastplate an old family friend and neighbor from the Crow Tribe had given my father to wear. I decided I would start wearing it while playing shows, as it was a spiritual armor of sorts. Soon though the wear and tear on the now 30 year old plate took its toll and I had to quit wearing it. This led to one option for someone who considers themselves a creator: I made my own full breastplate. Soon enough people were asking about owning one for themselves and also about different styles. In business today, I'm hard pressed to find a company that I feel is truly connected to society and sees the importance of conservation. More and more all I see is a faceless "person" worried about the bottom line, greed manifested in the fear of taking care of endless unborn generations (while generations now suffer), and a total disregard and lack of care for the one thing we actually have, the Great Creator manifested in a gift as the Earth, Gaia. This business was created to build wealth for all through sales, help lift people up through philanthropy, and to show that all people are beautiful no matter how they were born.
