Daemon Demetrius Watson (born December 1976) is a Producer, Writer, Director, Editor, Photographer, Model, and Actor. Born in Nashville, TN, Watson began his career as a model and actor before the launch of a successful film making career. Even at a young age, Watson had a natural affinity and aptitude for the visual and performing arts. He was a lead choreographer and actor for several theater projects at the Tennessee State University Performing Arts Theater. Watson would become a back up dancer for Grammy Awarding Winning Poet J. Ivy, and Tarrey Torae who was a Grammy Award recipient for her work on Kanye West’s College Drop Out album. After several career defining moments, Watson made his acting debut with the 1999 Academy-nominated American drama film, Green Mile, written by Stephen King. In 2007, Watson had a supporting role in The Secret Closet, a short film produced and directed by Nicole Whalen. ?In 2002, after spending several years on the stage and in front of the camera, Watson began realizing his passion behind the camera. He is credited with major television and video productions for BET, CTN, TBN, and UPN Networks. In addition, he has conjoined with the San Diego Film Festival and the Nashville International Black Film Festival to create unique, interactive, memorable film-going experiences as inspiration for his film making career. Around Nashville, Watson is very often recognized as the name behind the engaging and thought provoking commercials under the ministry of Bishop Joseph W. Walker III. ?Watson credits industry experts, Mark Jackson and Nicole Whalen as his mentors who instructed him on the logistics of film making, television, and video production. ?Watson’s newest venture, Photography, has inoculated him with the artistic and technical, expertise for an established film making career. He is studying under the guidance of an industry professional with 20+ years experience. He has a rapidly growing client base in the Greater Nashville and Southern California areas.
